Pushback Rack for New Albany, Indiana Warehouses

The same SKU stored in five different places because the rack is only one deep is the most common reason New Albany warehouses call us. Pushback Rack addresses that directly, reclaiming the positions a typical manufacturing layout in this market never uses.

We take the pallet weights, lift truck, and usable height from your Downtown New Albany site, weigh it against lanes two to six pallets deep served from a single aisle, and come back with a drawing, a position count, and a priced bill of material. Call (502) 521-1485.

Why New Albany Warehouses Work With Us

Warehouses in and around State Street industrial tend to be constrained by something specific: limited clear height, tight columns, or a dock that will not take a full truck at once. Those details decide a New Albany design, not a standard drawing.

For wholesale distribution work near Downtown New Albany, the deciding factor is normally cart and rail assemblies matched to your pallet weight. We put that in front of you during the free pushback rack design consult, with New Albany position counts for both directions.

We also keep the New Albany pushback rack layout on file, so adding a bay next year or extending a row does not start from scratch.

    How Pushback Rack Works

Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

    1

    Loading from the aisle

The driver sets the first pallet on the front cart. Each pallet added after that pushes the cart train deeper into the lane, so one aisle handles the whole depth.

    2

    Carts nested on rails

Steel carts with nylon or steel wheels ride inclined rails, each nesting under the one ahead of it - that nesting is what makes multi-deep storage possible from a single face.

    3

    Retrieval by gravity

Pull the front pallet and the next cart rolls forward on the incline to the pick face. No driving into the lane, no repositioning pallets by hand.

    4

    Last in, first out

Each lane runs LIFO. That suits fast-turning product and any operation managing rotation by lane rather than by individual pallet date.

What a Pushback Rack Project Includes

The first step is a working list of what has to fit in your New Albany space: pallet sizes, heaviest load, forklift reach, and how many SKUs need direct access versus pushback rack depth.

From there our design team produces a CAD pushback rack layout showing positions, elevations, and aisle widths for your New Albany floor plan, plus an itemized quote so you see cost per pallet position. Where it helps, we price a second configuration on the same plan, with cart and rail assemblies matched to your pallet weight, so the tradeoff between density and access is a number instead of an opinion. Load ratings for each pushback rack level are documented in the New Albany drawing, not guessed in the field.

Pushback Rack freight is staged to fit Downtown New Albany access. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage build from the approved drawing, with the system anchored to the floor, aligned and capacity-tagged. We coordinate phasing around your New Albany operation and keep one contact for later additions.
