Drive-In Pallet Rack in La Grange, Kentucky

A lot of the calls we get from La Grange start with the same SKU stored in five different places because the rack is only one deep. Drive-in pallet rack usually fixes it, because it changes how much of a Commerce Parkway floor plate is actually available to store product without moving a wall.

Given the value of lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck, we model this against a second configuration on the same La Grange floor plan so density and access are numbers you can compare. Free to see, no obligation to order, and the drive-in rack numbers are yours either way. Call (502) 521-1485 about your La Grange industrial area building.

Why La Grange Warehouses Work With Us

What limits storage in a Buckner facility is usually the layout — a column line in the wrong place, a beam pocket, a restricted equipment route. We work those La Grange constraints out on paper before quoting steel.

Since 1997 we have supplied light manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and 3PL operations across La Grange and the surrounding area through Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. The consult up front, where we talk through bulk SKUs held deep while the pick face stays selective, is why the first layout is usually close to the final one.

One number reaches the people who did the work, whether that is a drive-in rack revision during design or an additional row for a Buckner site three years out.

    How Drive-In Rack Works

No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.

    1

    Continuous rails, not beams

Pallets rest on rails carried by upright frames rather than individual beam levels, so a lane accepts pallet after pallet at the same elevation.

    2

    The truck enters the lane

The driver travels inside the bay to place or retrieve each load. Lane width, rail height, and mast clearance get dimensioned to that specific truck, not a generic one.

    3

    One open end or two

One open end gives LIFO and the highest density available. Two open ends give FIFO with slightly fewer positions, since each lane now needs clearance from both sides.

    4

    Guarding built into the design

Guide rails, column guards, and rail-end protection are part of the spec from the start to help keep trucks aligned and reduce contact with the structure.

What a Drive-In Rack Project Includes

Before drive-in rack is priced for a Commerce Parkway site, we collect the constraints: usable height, column grid, aisle widths your lifts need, and the pallet mix your wholesale distribution volume actually moves.

You then get a drive-in rack position count for the La Grange footprint, load ratings for every beam level, and pricing broken out by component, so cost per pallet position is visible rather than buried in a lump sum. Where it makes sense we run the same plan a second way, with bulk SKUs held deep while the pick face stays selective.

Drive-In Rack lead time is confirmed on your quote, and we time deliveries to your La Grange receiving schedule. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage follow the drawing, with the system anchored to the floor and capacity-tagged. The layout stays on file for expansion.

High volume of a small number of SKUs
Seasonal or buffer inventory held in bulk
Cold storage and freezer rooms where cube matters most
Product too fragile to floor-stack more than two high
Buildings where floor space, not height, is the binding constraint
